Hello again!
So... you've checked out my professional background and want to know more about who I am off the clock? You're in the right place! Grab a snack, get comfy, and read on.
All About Me
I grew up heavily into the arts- music, theater, and physical art media. However, my father pulled me into the world of being a geek, and I also learned how to build, upgrade, maintain, back up, break, fix, and otherwise properly and efficiently use computers from a young age. While my professional life lies in the world of Information Technology, my personal life is where my artistic self flourishes. (Although I have been known to sketch diagrams of desk setups to help clients from time to time.)

Overall, I still enjoy both the artistic and technical sides of life. In recent years I've embraced digital art, finding it similar to eBooks: one small device is all I need to visit different worlds! All the fun for significantly less weight and bulk. And if you've ever moved the contents of a bookshelf (or several), you'll understand.

Music and theater remained huge parts of my life growing up, too. I was in a combination of band, choir, and/or drama club every year of grade school, and each moment was wonderful. These days, I don't have much chance to act, but I absolutely will deep dive into a song, looking up keys, time signatures, facts and information about what the writer was thinking about when writing the song, etc. My next goal is to re-familiarize myself with the basics of music, and then learn music theory. Being able to genuinely say, "I'm a musician" again is something I can't wait to do!

My overall goal in life is to be dynamic. I don't wish to be stuck, and continually learning and growing is all I want to do! If I'm improving, then all is well. Breaks are important, and absolutely must be taken. And it's important to know when it's appropriate to pause overall. Sometimes you need to stay where you are in order to make the next stop in life achievable. Balancing these actions is a daily practice. I'm still learning how to achieve that balance, but it's all worth the effort.
